Free to B. a Company

Renata created fictional children’s character Frieda B. to encourage children of all ages to dream big and believe they, too, are free to be their own one-of-a-kind, very important story.  Frieda B. Herself was first published in March 2010.  Shortly after its release, Renata began visiting schools and working directly with children around the book and its “free to be” messaging.

It was during that initial in-person work with children that Renata realized the true potential of Frieda B. and the message she brings.

“Every child is unique, with a one-of-a-kind combination of gifts and passions — a story no one else can tell,” Renata explains.  “What I find incredibly sad, and at the same time motivating, is how few children – and adults – know and believe this.  What would the world look like if all people did?  How could each of us use our story to make the world a better place? Frieda can help us find out.”

It’s that sentiment and related mission statement that inspired Renata and friend Paula LaJoie to co-found Frieda B., LLC in January 2012 – a company devoted to providing a growing line of books, products and services all specifically created to encourage and inspire the story within.

Frieda B., LLC is a member of the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA).
