Frieda B. The Whole Child PK-5 Administrator Retreat
Hosted by the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) for PK-5 Administrators. Free. Registration link below.
Built on the national-award-winning Frieda B. series of children’s books, The Frieda B. The Whole Child (FBTWC) ELA/SEL Toolkit provides an array of resources to PK-5 schools to delve into and communicate with students, staff and families the significance of supporting everyone’s STORY in order to work toward meaningful, relevant academic and social success…
…All the while complementing and enhancing the school’s existing English Language Arts (ELA) and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) standards and initiatives.
Research substantiates that a child who understands and believes she has a unique and important worth will more readily and successfully engage academically and in the world around her. Additionally, she more readily can embrace and support the stories of others. Autonomy and community and ELA and SEL objectives met in every lesson. Win-Win-Win!
Come join CAS at The Story Barn at 952 Main Street in Somers, CT on Tuesday, July 28th, and learn more about, discuss, explore FBTWC with Frieda B. Author Renata Bowers and other educational administrators during a relaxed yet engaging Informational Retreat. Choose either the morning or the afternoon session.
A homemade bag lunch is available between sessions (for $12) for those who are interested in brainstorming/spending time on the property.
