Frieda B. and The Story Barn in Somers, CT invite you and the children you love to join us for our 4th Annual Wonder & Wander self-led events in nature!
We believe in the beauty of childhood summers... outdoors in nature with lots of adventure and creativity and wondering and wandering. Come to The Story Barn and let us set the stage for a full morning of all of this with the children you love.
What is Wonder & Wander? Register for one or as many of the weeks as you like... Each Wednesday morning, Frieda B. author Renata Bowers sets the theme with a reading of the day's story at 9:30. You'll receive a basket full of supplies to use during your visit, for fun book-themed activities, a scavenger hunt, and a craft... and you can explore at your own pace, in your own unique way.
🌟 Oh, and... this year each child will receive a small treasure box, for keeping each week's scavenger hunt treasure! 🌟
As part of your registration, you'll be given a space with two Adirondack chairs on our expansive front acreage, to serve as your home base. (Feel free to bring a blanket & snacks to add to the experience!) Then you'll have 2.5 hours to use as you like (come and leave when you like), to explore, observe, play, create. Dress appropriately - we don't let a few sprinkles deter us (when necessary, we provide shelter) - and get ready to Wonder & Wander in the great outdoors!
